Celebrating the Impact of Paula Tipton-Healy and Paula’s Midwifery
In every corner of the community, the name Paula Tipton-Healy carries a legacy of compassion, expertise, and unwavering support. For years, Paula’s Midwifery was a beacon of care and guidance for countless mothers, families, and aspiring midwives. It was not just a practice—it was a community of knowledge, support, trust, and empowerment.

Paula’s dedication to midwifery has been extraordinary.
Paula trained as a midwife when she was in her early 20’s, with a physician that performed home birth in San Diego. Witnessing her first birth sparked her interest in midwifery and she was committed ever since. She opened her own midwifery practice and worked for years before becoming the 12th Licensed Midwife in California. Paula also worked in Colorado and Mexico, supporting families and training midwives in each place. She ‘retired’ many times through this, but eventually felt the call back to midwifery and began practicing again.
With a deep passion for midwifery..
She not only supported mothers through the transformative journey of childbirth, but she also mentored and nurtured many members of the next generation of midwives. Among the many midwives who learned from her, Arianna and Olivia’s paths were forever shaped by Paula's wisdom, kindness, and unwavering belief in the power of people to make the things they want happen!
We honor Paula and the many years of service she gave to this community, we celebrate her enduring influence—one that continues to shape and inspire the work of midwives, mothers, and families. Paula’s legacy is not just in the births she attended or the midwives she trained, but in the love and respect she cultivated for the sacredness of birth itself.

The Your Circle Midwifery team is overwhelmingly grateful to have Paula’s support
In her last year of practicing and to then continue the practice with the same respect, support, and expertise Paula’s Midwifery instilled in them. Paula’s patient guidance, her relentless pursuit of excellence, and her ability to create a space where mothers felt truly seen and heard are qualities they carry with them every day.
