Well-Woman/Well-Person Visits
Well-woman/person visits with our team offer a compassionate, holistic approach to reproductive and whole-body health. These appointments are designed to support you as a complete individual: physically, emotionally, and in the context of your life, values, and goals.
Midwifery care is grounded in respect, collaboration, and informed choice. Every procedure, screening, and test is offered with full consent, ensuring that you remain in control of your body and your care at all times. Nothing is routine without your understanding and agreement.
During your visit, we take the time to listen deeply, discuss your health questions, explore wellness strategies, and provide personalized guidance. Whether you’re seeking annual exams, contraception counseling, fertility awareness, or general wellness support, we will work with you to make decisions that feel right for your body and your life.
These visits are an opportunity to reconnect with your health, gain clarity, and feel supported by providers who honor your autonomy and your humanity.
What's included in your visit
Each well-woman/person appointment is a full 60-minute visit, giving you time to be heard, ask questions, and move through your care without feeling rushed. We provide a thorough, consent-based, and individualized experience that may include:
- Comprehensive Review of Medical History: We discuss your health background, current concerns, lifestyle, and wellness goals to understand the full picture of your well-being.
- Holistic Physical Exam: A gentle, thorough exam tailored to your needs, with every part explained beforehand and choice over participation.
- Focused Discussion of Any Specific Issues: Whether you’re experiencing symptoms, considering new health goals, or navigating changes in your body, we take time to explore your concerns together.
- Pap Smear (if indicated and consented to): Performed with care, clarity, and comfort measures, with the option to decline or pause at any time.
- Blood Work (as needed): Labs can be ordered based on your goals or clinical indications, with all testing explained and fully consented.
- Follow-Up Phone Call With Your Midwife: Once results are in, your midwife will contact you personally to review findings, answer questions, and collaborate on a care or wellness plan if needed.
